Penelope Cruz Interview (The Daily Telegraph)

Penelope Cruz doesn’t like to skip meals. Even during the Cannes Film Festival, when the prospect of striking a pose on La Croisette is enough to make any actress madly calorie-conscious, Cruz stays true to her Spanish roots and makes time for lunch.

Linda Evangelista Interview (Elle)

When it comes to makeup, I'm a real girlie's girl. I love dressing up and experimenting with my hair and makeup. I don't do it to please other people, I do it for me. It can be very therapeutic just sitting in the bathroom and playing. When 1 get the time, I have beauty mornings at home. I do my own manicure, pedicure and play around with creams and stuff. I'm all for people pampering themselves, whether it's having the luxury of getting it done at a salon, or doing it yourself at home. It's pleasing.

Art Luna Interview (The Sunday Times)

The brightest stars in Tinseltown have their hair done in the back garden. The garden in question belongs to Art Luna, the Hollywood hair guru who, after years of making house calls, converted a 1940s bungalow into a salon with a difference.

Discreetly located in residential West Hollywood, you enter the salon through a homely front patio, where regulars such as Rosanna Arquette, Kelly Lynch and Jennifer Tilly enjoy relaxing in deck chairs under the dryers.

Bobbi Brown Interview (The Daily Telegraph)

Bobbi Brown is least mogul-like beauty mogul in the business. The American make-up artist and cosmetics empire builder has squeezed in this interview between breakfast at her New Jersey home and the school run (Brown and her husband have three sons).

When Brown says she loves transforming the looks of the awkward teenager or multi-tasking mother next door as much as she enjoys preparing a Hollywood actress for the red carpet, she means it.

Marcia Kilgore Interview (The Daily Telegraph)

Marcia Kilgore is a hands-on kind of girl. When I first met the irrepressible, self-made spa mogul, her Bliss product range - hot from the now infamous New York beauty haven - had just arrived in Britain. Extolling the virtues of a foot file made with diamond dust, Kilgore kicked off her shoes and gave a small gathering of British beauty editors an impromptu demonstration. We were wowed, by Kilgore’s infectious enthusiasm and her fabulous, results-orientated goodies. (Not to mention her smooth heels).
